I believe that Early Intervention is a crucial piece to a young child's success. Children develop more in the first 3 years of life than at any other time period in their lives. Early Intervention has the potential to change a child's life forever when implemented with fidelity and care. I believe that Early Intervention is implemented at it's fullest when done in the natural environment. This is not just a place, but a state of mind referring to how a child feels comfortable within their surroundings and routines. I believe that all children and families have potential to do great things, and it is my job to help bring that potential out. I also believe that parents genuinely want to do what is best for their children, but might not have to tools to do so. Early Intervention can equip parents with those tools to help them be the best parent they can be. Early Intervention promotes a positive and confident family unit. It helps all members, children and parents, to see what they didn't know was possible and take pride in how far they have come.
