My name is Erin Goodridge and I am currently a master's student at Kent State University. I am currently working towards my master's
in Early Childhood Special Education with my certificate in Early Intervention. I completed the certificate program in Early Intervention in August, 2016. My background in education has always been focused on working with young children. I graduated in December 2013 from Kent State University with my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. After working as a substitute teacher in grades K-5 during the spring of 2014, I was offered my first full time teaching position. During the 2014-2015 school year I taught 3rd grade at Southeast local Schools in Ravenna, Ohio. Although I loved working with my students, I felt that I wanted to take me career in a different direction, which is why I decided to go back to school full time for my Early Intervention certificate and master's degree. During my undergraduate work I spent an entire year doing field work, student teaching, and even working out of school for the Family Child Learning Center in Tallmadge, Ohio. This is a center focused on working with children with Autism and their families. This was a truly life changing experience for me and I always knew I would further my education to be able to work with children who have special needs and their families.
In July 2016, I was able to start my work in the field of Early Intervention as a service coordinator for Help Me Grow in Stark County.
