Through my coursework and internships for the early intervention certificate program at Kent State, I have had plenty of exposure to early childhood assessment. I have had hands on training to use the Ages and Stages Questionnaire-3 (ASQ-3), Ages and Stages Questionnaire-Social Emotional(ASQ-SE), Battelle Developmental Inventory-2 (BDI-2), and the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System (AEPS). I have also observed all of these assessments being administered in the field. I have also had the privilege of observing the administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) assessment several times.
It is my belief that early childhood assessments should be done in the most natural way possible (familiar places and people). I also believe that family members should be encouraged to participate as they play such an important role in the child's life.

The following file is an assessment critique I completed about the AEPS with a classmate.
The following file is a research paper I wrote about the purpose and function of different early childhood assessments.
The following is an ASQ-3 report that I wrote on a typically developing child.
